The Proprietress is a very timid and clumsy woman, who is very embarrassed at the service she offers, but willing to offer it for "the sake of her child and the hot spring". In the beginning chapters, she seems to give herself excuses as to why she will give others sexual pleasure. In "Woman at the Edge of a Cliff" (2.06), she says she will give the Suicide Man sex if he brings her son and her food. She's shown to be following Suicide Man's requests to get what she wants, but by the end seems to be enjoying herself very much, and only recoils in shame when her son sees her. She even tells Suicide Man that she's been very lonely since her husband died and thought her child and her were going to die.

In "Continued Woman at the Edge of a Cliff" (4.05), she gets forced to have sex with the crew to keep her business afloat by the exposure of the TV program. When the director mentions he'll come back for this service, she says "This is the only time I'm going to provide this kind of service!" This wasn't the case obviously and during the sex she admits that the director's dick feels good after a long period of sexual deprivation.

In "Woman at the Edge vs. USAMama" (4.09) Kon-Kit shows the Proprietress' sexual service. At this point she realizes that her service brings more people to the hot springs and allows to keep the business flourishing. Toshi takes the "first class plus course" and during it expresses her feelings on the matter: She's embarrassed by her actions but took the reporters advice to help her child and hot springs, she gets herself a little drunk to make it easier on herself.

In "Nighthawk Shirayuki vs. Proprietress" (7.07) she seems to be many months into her service and all her actions are in service of the "compensation fees". When the company president "rapes her" she mentions that she allowed him to do it willingly knowing that she can charge more. When she joins Shirayuki and the Secretary she also mentions that her service with him will be charged. Despite this she seems to enjoy her time with the other two.

Summary
Proprietress (女将), also known as the Woman at the Edge of a Cliff (Real name: Koriyama Aiko) is a reoccurring character in Kon-Kit's series of work, she was introduced in "Bitch Trap".
The Proprietress runs the Chori Hot Springs, located at the edge of a cliff, she is a widow who lives at the hot springs with her son, Kouta. She has managed the hot springs for over 6 years with her husband. Due to a run in with a TV crew, she began to offer sexual services to customers to keep the hot springs afloat, this strategy has given her great success.

Located on the side of a cliff, an earthquake caused a landslide to occur, leaving the hot spring on the side of a cliff. Before this the terrain up to the springs was a very gradual slope. The cliff is far enough to cause death, as the Proprietress' husband died attempting to get food for his family. Due to the cliff, the transportation fees are very high.

After Suicide Man stumbles upon the Chori Hot Springs, (previously trying to hang himself) the Proprietress offers sexual service for his help to bring food to the springs. Unfortunately her son kicked him off the cliff after Suicide Man and the Proprietress role played as husband and wife, Kouta exclaiming he isn't his dad.

A crew consisting of the main reporter, Yuuko, the director, and 3 other crew members (2 are named: Yoshida, and Nishi the cameraman). Yuuko despises the Proprietress after she is forced by the crew to give a tutorial of the hot springs, as well as the fact that she s much more busty and beautiful than her.
